Milagro
Retreats invites you to join Jayanta (Shirley Johannesen) and Leslie Young for a
week of mindfulness meditation and Vijnana yoga in the Lush Oasis of Todos
Santos, Baja Mexico - the setting alone creates a magical space!
This special retreat offers a wonderful and unique opportunity to take a break
from your busy routine for personal renewal and spiritual reflection - in a
supportive and inspiring environment - with two very experienced international
teachers. It will be a wonderful opportunity for physical, spiritual and mental
rejuvenation through the practices of meditation and yoga. Your retreat includes
Vipassana meditation, pranayama (breathing practices), along with two yoga
classes each day. Some of the yoga sessions will be flowing and active, others
will offer a quieter more focused practice.

Jayanta (Shirley Johannesen)
Jayanta's teaching is focused on sharing the spiritual practices of meditation
and yoga. She has nearly 40 years of a dedicated heart-felt practice and study.
For Jayanta the integration of yoga and Vipassana meditation into everyday
activities is a way of life which she generously shares with others so that they
may experience a place of balance, peace, happiness and well-being. She is
founder and president of her own business, Stretch-Awareness. She is also a
founding member of numerous yoga and meditation associations in Canada and leads
retreats and workshops nationally and internationally. Jayanta has produced a
video: Stretch Breathe Relax and audio tapes: Relaxation Circle and Meditation
Circle.
Leslie Young
Leslie Young, a devoted student of yoga since age 17, has been teaching for 20
years. Originally certified in Iyengar Yoga, she has been exposed to many
traditions. Leslie balances precision with flow and encourages her students in
developing body awareness with an open heart. Deeply influenced by Dona Holleman
and Orit Sen-Gupta, Leslie’s teaching is rooted in the principles of Vijnana
Yoga. With an ongoing practice of Vipassana Meditation, Leslie emphasizes
mindfulness through listening to the body. Leslie and Jayanta have worked
together for many years offering retreats and teacher-trainings. Leslie
teaches near Whistler, B.C. and has traveled and taught extensively in Mexico.
