Phil Cousineau

Phil Cousineau is a writer, teacher,
editor, independent scholar, documentary filmmaker, travel leader, and
storyteller. His life-long fascination with the art, literature, and history of
culture has taken him on many journeys around the world. He lectures frequently
on a wide range of topics - from mythology, film, and writing, to beauty,
travel, sports, and creativity. He has published over twenty non-fiction books,
including the international bestselling The Art of Pilgrimage
which has been translated into seven languages, and The Hero's Journey:
The Life and Work of Joseph Campbell which has been a major influence in
the arts and movies. Cousineau has more than fifteen scriptwriting credits to
his name, including the 1991 Oscar-nominated Forever Activists: Stories
from the Abraham Lincoln Brigade and A Seat at the Table: The
Struggle for American Indian Religious Freedom (2003).
Recently, Cousineau has appeared on CNN, the Discovery Channel, Fox News, and
Hallmark's "New Morning Show" speaking about the phenomenal revival world
pilgrimage, and on several Warner Brothers DVD deluxe sets as a commentator on
mythology in the movies. Currently, Cousineau is serving as host for the new
LINK TV series, "Global Spirit."
