Greetings!
As any spiritual seeker soon discovers, the path to understanding and enlightenment is a path of dedication and reverence, one that is full of challenges and lessons, and many, many trials. This path acts as an initiation into a new life and a new way of being. The English term "initiate" in itself, comes from the latin word initium, meaning "entrance" or beginning, literally "a going in". As a verb, the word "initiate" means to begin an action, event, or process. This process of initiation includes special rites of passage and sacred rituals as well as ancient teachings and revelations of secrets. The path of initiation is evident in many cultures from ancient civilizations to the present day. From symbolic acts of veneration to a lifetime of learning and apprenticeship, an initiation takes many forms.
In Ancient Egypt, priests and priestesses underwent many degrees and levels of initiation. Some initiates were fortunate enough to be born into families of priesthood and thus, were privileged with mystery teachings and family secrets in order to continue and preserve the family's traditions, while others would follow a long course of study and apprenticeship that involved ancient teachings, fasting and sacred rituals. The life of a priest and priestess involved much sacrifice; material possessions, goals and dreams were forfeited, and life was predominantly lived out in solitude, with full devotion to the gods and goddesses. High priests and priestesses were then formally initiated by Ra himself in the Great Pyramid honouring them and their culmination of life-long learning. On our journey, Path of the Initiate - October 19 - 31, 2009, we will discover the path of the Egyptian Mystery School Initiate. Delving into ancient teachings and sacred rituals, we too will sample the path of the initiate, helping to prepare us for the "Golden Age". We will also have the special privilege of experiencing a special initiation in the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid - a transformational experience!
In Peru, Incan traditions, paths of initiation, and rites of passage are still experienced by some of the present day Andean people; those who have been chosen by their families or elders to become a shaman and leader, as well as those who have felt a calling and a deep desire to preserve their cherished ancient traditions. On our special journey in Peru, Heart of the Pachamama - September 16 - 23, 2009, we will have the opportunity to learn about the path of initiation in this wonderful culture. With Puma Quispe Singona as our guide, we will not only learn about the sacred teachings that have been passed on throughout the generations, but we will learn about Puma's path of initiation first hand. As he shares his own stories and experiences, we become fully immersed into this very special world and will be blessed with an abundance of knowledge and wisdom to help us on our path of initiation.

Mexico - Centre of the Conscious Dream - Practical Intuitive Shamanic Training Course

The Centre of the Conscious Dream grew out of the Shamanic School of Dreaming, which was founded in 1995 in England by Daniel Stone. In 2000, work began on a physical centre in the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on a site that is towards the end of the 300km ancient pilgrimage route called the “Huiricuta”. The centre is situated near a sacred mountain, which is, in many traditional myths, a place where the sun first rose. It is an extraordinary multi-dimensional field of energy, which drew or “called” him to build his centre here. This course is designed to help the participant open to their intuitive wisdom. Each individual has everything they need to know in their own body, their own cellular library, and the work is to learn how to enter the library and how to read the material. The cellular library has all the information on how the body connects with thought, with emotion and with spirit. It shows the context of the individual within time and within culture, their relation with the earth, and with the universe. The information is very precise and gives exact data on what a person should be doing, where a person should be living, and with whom he/she should be working and living with. The wisdom that we will be accessing will not only arise in the form of words, but also as images, emotions, sensations and other types of sensory activity. The course would be suitable for anyone who wants to know who they are, why they are on the planet, and what is their soul purpose and journey through time and space. It is also applicable for those consciously on a healing path either for themselves or for healing others. Healing is understood to be a balanced understanding of mind, body, spirit, and emotion.
