Blessings to all our Mothers!
In this month dedicated to mothers, we'd like to take the opportunity to honour our great Pachamama and thank her for all our Earthly gifts. In Incan mythology, Pachamama or Mama Pacha, is a fertility goddess who presides over the planting and sowing of seeds, along with the gathering at harvest. She is often known as Mother Earth, but more appropriately she is Mother Universe as translated from the Quechan words "pacha" for "world" or "universe" and "mama" for "mother". Aside from her powers of creation, she also has the power to cause earthquakes and destroy. However, this is not an aspect to be feared, as these tremours and earthquakes act as catalysts for change. These "earthquakes" of change offer not only the possibility to collapse and discard old ideas and destructive habits, but they open up spaces to fill with love and light and positive energies for change. After all, it is through the difficult times and challenges that we are able to shed our skins like the mythical serpent and create a new reality for ourselves.
As we show grace and appreciation for our own mothers this month, let us extend these blessings and offerings to our Universal Mother and to all our brothers and sisters as well. Let us continue to change and grow, and let us ask Pachamama to shake up our own lives a little so that we too can reduce our negative patterns to rubble and begin to transform and build anew.

New Journey Announcement!
Due to the overwhelming success of our Yoga Journey to India earlier this March we have designed 2 NEW outstanding Yoga Journeys to India coming up in October of this year as well as March of next year. We are very pleased to announce our new offerings:
The Inner Magic Yoga Journey to India with Prana Yoga, October 18 - 30, 2008 and The Spirit of India with Michele Labelle, March 2 - 15, 2009.
Participation in each journey is limited and as our last journey to India sold out, we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment!
Reminders
There are only a few days left to be entered into our "Sacred Earth" Book contest. To qualify for this contest you must submit your registration form online and send in your deposit for our journey Maya Sacred Path to 2012 - Return to the Sacred Path of the Sun, November 28 - December 7, 2008 by May 30! We will randomly choose the name from our list of registrants soon after this date and announce the lucky winner in next month's newsletter edition.
We'd also like to remind you that the registration deadline of June 2 for our Bhutan journey - Land of the Thunder Dragon, November 10 - 20, 2008 is quickly approaching. If you are interested in this journey please submit your registration form ASAP to confirm your space on this remarkable and unique journey.

Mexico - Maya Sacred Path to 2012 - Return to the Sacred Path of the Sun

 Journey with Maya Master Teacher Miguel Angel Vergara Calleros, Ph.D. and renowned spiritual teacher, Richard Jelusich, Ph.D., and Return to the Sacred Path of the Sun on our 2008 Maya Sacred Path to 2012 program.
This year, our focus is on the role of the sun, our sacred central star, and the cosmology of the Mayan understanding of the sun in the evolution of our consciousness.
Our journey will take us through the scenic and diverse regions of the Yucatán, Campeche, and Quintana Roo, visiting unique and ancient Maya sites along the way.
