Greetings!

The days have obviously begun to get shorter with the progression of the season reminding us of the importance of our Great Sun, the giver of life, the source and the spark of our internal flames. The ancient Maya were aware of the importance of the sun. They followed the cosmic cycles of the sun and revered it as divine. The imagery of the Sun God can be seen in many ancient carvings, stelae and writings of the Maya. They recognized the sun as a symbol of life, of beginning and completion, and of cosmic wisdom.

Connecting the source of the sun with the earthly realm was the sun serpent, an important religious symbol of the Maya, known as Kukulkan. The serpent has long been considered a symbol of transformation and metamorphasis by many ancient cultures. With the shedding of its skin, it acts as a symbol of immortality and reincarnation, representing a cycle of rebirth, renewal and transformation. In Mayan cosmology, the serpent is considered a vehicle by which the sun and stars cross the heavens. It acts as a link to the spirits of the ancestors and the wisdom of the ancients. The serpent energy is our kundalini energy which spirals up through our bodies, connecting us to the spiritual realm and source. Gliding its way through the veils of existence, it is our link between both worlds and realities.

On our Maya Sacred Path to 2012 journey, Return to the Sacred Place of the Sun, November 28 - December 7, 2008, we will reactivate our Kundalini energy, our Serpent energy, to link the wonderful forces of the Heart of the Sky with the Heart of the Earth.  The meditations and ceremonies throughout the journey will teach us how to use this energy to open our Heart Chakra and raise our own energy to the level of the energy of the Sun, allowing us to connect with the cosmic wisdom of the Maya Teachers of Light.

Following the Maya Sacred Path to 2012 journey, we delve into a deeper study of the Maya at the Maya Cosmic University. Learn about the Maya Calendar and the various cosmic cycles as well as the Prophecies of 2012. From this work, we will obtain an understanding of why it is important to study the Calendars at this time and how they are relevant to our lives today.

On The Serpent of Light - Kukulkan Descends at Chichen Itza, March 20 - 29, 2009 journey, we will clearly see the importance of both the sun and serpent energies. Standing before the Pyramid of Kukulkan at Chichen Itza on the Spring Equinox, we will be blessed with the cosmic energy of the serpent as it slithers down the pyramid from the Heavens to Earth. We will then carry this energy with us, as we journey through the heart of the Maya Lands, in order to connect us with the wisdom of the ancients.

These journeys will also help us to understand the crucial times we are all facing right now. Many are feeling uncertain of the future, of what lies ahead, and with good reason. As we approach the year 2012 we find the prophecies of the Maya and many other indigenous people becoming clearly apparent. Time is accelerating, consciousness is shifting and problems we have tried to push under the rug for many years are becoming much more obvious and harder to sweep away. NOW is the time for change, for awakening, for enlightenment. Now is the time to embrace the teachings of the ancients and ignite our potential. Why now? Because there is no better time than the present and there is no better place to start than at zero. Allow yourself to be filled.

We believe it is important for us to all be well-informed and educated. The elders have finally begun to share their wisdom with us all and we must not take this gift for granted. We hope you will join us on our journeys to learn more about how you can truly make a difference and see for yourself how instantly transformation can begin.

Mexico - Maya Sacred Path to 2012 - Return to the Sacred Path of the Sun

Journey with Maya Master Teacher Miguel Angel Vergara Calleros, and renowned spiritual teacher, Richard Jelusich Ph.D., and Return to the Sacred Path of the Sun on our 2008 Maya Sacred Path to 2012 program.
