Retreat Leader
Natalie Rousseau E-RYT 500 has been teaching Yoga full time since 2002. She created Pacific Elements Yoga (formerly Anahata Yoga) so that she could share her passion for Yoga with both residents and visitors to the dynamic coastal town of Tofino BC.
" I teach Yoga because I believe in it's power to heal and transform. This belief is rooted in personal experience and is renewed through daily practice. It is one of my greatest joys, and deepest honours, to share this practice with others so that they too can access the vast reservoir of strength, creativity, contentment, happiness, and true peace that lies within them. Yoga is a journey of Self-discovery that is open to everyone irregardless of age or ability. The only pre-requisite for this journey is a sincere desire to begin....
I look forward to sharing this journey with you."

Accommodation
Tofino Botanical Gardensis a twelve acre haven of natural forest with a pond and planted flower, herb and kitchen gardens surrounding the central café. A wander through the forest paths and boardwalks reveals pocket gardens with plants from coastal rainforests around the world. Visitors love to discover the creative and quirky sculptures and garden structures dotted throughout the landscape. A favourite view is over the Tofino Mudflats, a serene inlet leading to Meares Island and the mountains of Vancouver Island.
The Clayoquot Field Station is a clean and quiet dormitory style accommodation with a big communal kitchen, spacious shared bathrooms and a comfortable lounge and dining area. Dormitory rooms have four beds with two bunks in each room with down duvet quilts. The large classroom is perfect for yoga sessions, with windows on two sides to let in natural light.
Alternatively, camping is available at Bella Pacifica Campground on MacKenzie Beach. Their private oceanfront and wilderness setting enables you to experience the wonder of the Old Growth forests and the pristine beaches famous to the area.
Location
The Pacific Rim, though only a few hours from Vancouver and Seattle, exists in a world of its own. Nestled between ancient rainforest and the wild Pacific Ocean, this spectacular coastline is home to an abundance of natural wonders. At the northern edge of the Pacific Rim National Park lies the quaint, inviting town of Tofino, home to artists and surfers alike. Discovered a century ago when Anglican missionaries searched for the most beautiful place on Vancouver Island, Tofino continues to invoke a sense of breath-taking, awe-inspiring beauty.
Getting There
We recommend making reservations on BC Ferries to ensure a seamless journey to Vancouver Island. Fares and schedules can be found at www.bcferries.com.
Driving from VANCOUVER (Total Travel Time: Approx. 5 Hours):
The Horseshoe Bay Ferry or Tsawassen Ferry takes you to Nanaimo. The Ferry crossing takes about 2 hours. From Nanaimo, drive Highway 19 North approximately 30 minutes to the Qualicum Beach exit. Take this exit and drive west on Highway 4 through Port Alberni. Once in Port Alberni, follow the signs to Tofino and/or Pacific Rim National Park.
Stay on the highway straight towards Tofino. After you pass Beaches Grocery and Live to Surf Surf Shop on your right, start looking for our sign on a gazebo to your right.
The total driving time from Nanaimo is approximately two and a half hours.

The Yoga classes will progress throughout the weekend.
~Evening Restorative classes to ground you and encourage deep restful sleeps.
