\"\"<\/a>Sometimes we are called to places we had no intentions of visiting. Have you ever been somewhere and asked yourself why am I here?<\/p>\n

I recently had such an experience when I was in London. The trip chose me and it came about unexpectedly. I was asked to help guide a theatre tour and jumped at the opportunity. Part of the trip involved the usual tourist attractions which I normally avoid. Therefore, I was \u201cforced\u201d to take in the Royal palaces, castles, and forts. I felt a little uneasy viewing such treasures acquired by questionable means but for some reason I lingered at each location. I couldn\u2019t help but wonder why I was hanging around long after the group had left for the day. Sure the royal cafes offered the best food in town but something beyond my base instincts was kicking in. Luckily, during such moments, my intuition takes over and dictates my actions or else my mind would have me running off to accomplish a million other things.<\/p>\n

And so, I let my body lead the way, walking the well-worn paths that so many before me had trodden. I could even see their markings and I could certainly feel their presence. But there was something more. I was reminded of what my friend Colleen had lately observed. When I asked her why she was drawn to Greece recently, over other destinations, she said that the earth was calling us to these sacred sites not only to heal the land but also to remind the inhabitants of their forgotten wisdom. With this in mind, I did some digging (with the help of the SEJ community), and discovered that the properties I was most attracted to, in London, were indeed situated on ley-lines. The land and its spirits, long buried, were calling out for peace. The least I could do was offer my presence & love.<\/p>\n

Although I\u2019ve always travelled with purpose this new awareness has now added an extra dimension to my journeys. In addition to connecting and receiving the energy from sacred sites, I realize I must also give my energy to these places in this time of need. In fact, I believe we are all being called to do so. I\u2019ve long suspected that the journey often chooses us, rather than vice versa, and now I\u2019m beginning to see it even more.<\/p>\n

We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us. -Joseph Campbell<\/p>\n
