We will also visit and meditate at the ashram of Sri Ma Anandamayi, a revered Indian saint, teacher, and mystic, regarded as an incarnation of goddess Kali.
Next, we will make the short journey to Rishikesh, the “Yoga Capital of the World,” where you’ll immerse yourself in the town’s tranquil and spiritual atmosphere. Highlights include a visit to the famous Beatles Ashram, where the band drew inspiration from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s, and the powerful Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan, a moving sunset ritual on the banks of the Ganges. You’ll also enjoy exclusive yoga sessions, including one at the sacred Vashishth Cave, explore historic sites like the 1,300-year-old Virbhadra Temple, and experience the local culture and vibrant markets.
Your journey continues with a visit to the wilderness of Corbett National Park, where you’ll embark on jungle safaris in search of Bengal tigers, leopards, and other wildlife.
A key feature of our journey is the four-day meditation retreat set in the serene landscapes of Uttarakhand, a region famed for its natural splendor and spiritual heritage. Uttarakhand, often celebrated as the “Devbhoomi” or Land of the Gods, offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks, dense forests, and tranquil rivers. Along the way, we'll visit the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram at Kainchi Dham, sacred space where devotees gather to meditate, seek blessings, and honor the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba—an esteemed spiritual master whose legacy of love and service continues to inspire. From there, we return to Delhi, enriched by the sacred energy of this special place.

Upon arrival in Delhi, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the hotel where you can relax and recover from your journey. In the evening, we’ll gather for an introductory meeting at the hotel, offering a chance to meet your fellow travelers and our tour leader, Andrew Harvey.

After breakfast, we embark on a four-and-a-half-hour journey to Haridwar. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and settle in. Known as the "Gateway to the Abode of Gods," Haridwar is a city steeped in ancient history, with its origins tracing back to prehistoric times. Over the centuries, Haridwar has been known by many names, each reflecting its rich cultural and spiritual significance. According to Hindu mythology, Haridwar is one of the four sacred sites where drops of nectar, churned from the primordial ocean, are believed to have fallen.
In the early evening we will attend the Ganga Arti at Hari-Ki-Pauri, a mesmerizing ritual that takes place every evening on the banks of the River Ganga. Hundreds of devotees gather at Har Ki Pauri to witness this daily ritual, offering flowers, diyas (small oil lamps), and prayers to the river.
Afterwards, enjoy a special Welcome Dinner to connect with your fellow pilgrims and sample the delicious cuisine of northern India.

This morning, begin your journey with a visit to Mansa Devi Temple, perched atop Bilwa Parvat in the Sivalik Hills, the southernmost range of the Himalayas. Known as Bilwa Tirth, it is one of the five sacred pilgrimages, or Panch Tirth, in Haridwar.
Next, explore Chandi Devi Temple, located on Neel Parvat, also in the Sivalik Hills. Built in 1929 by King Suchat Singh of Kashmir, the temple's main deity was originally installed in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, a revered Hindu philosopher. Chandi Devi Temple, also called Neel Parvat Teerth, is another of Haridwar’s Panch Tirth.
In the afternoon, visit Bharat Mata Temple, dedicated to Mother India. Founded by Swami Satyamitranand Giri and inaugurated in 1983 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, this eight-story temple, constructed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), is a tribute to patriotic devotion. Each floor of the temple represents a different theme, making it a unique attraction for visitors.
Later we will visit Shanti Kunj, a renowned ashram and the headquarters of the All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP). Established in 1971 by Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya, it is a significant destination for those seeking spiritual growth in Haridwar.
Finally, we end the day with a visit to the Anandamayi Ma Ashram, a sacred site dedicated to the revered spiritual figure, Ma Anandamayi. Known for her mystical and yogic abilities, she promoted peace and spiritual values. Devotees from around the world visit this ashram to honor her legacy.

Start the day with a holy dip in the Ganges, a ritual believed by Hindus to purify the soul.
After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll take a 40-minute drive to Rishikesh, the renowned "Yoga Capital of the World." Nestled in the hills and divided by the peaceful Ganges River, Rishikesh gained international fame in the 1960s when The Beatles visited their guru, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, establishing it as a global hub for meditation and yoga.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. Later in the evening, we will attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. This sunset ritual attracts visitors from all walks of life, transcending cultural and linguistic barriers. The powerful and uplifting atmosphere of the Aarti connects directly to the heart, offering a glimpse of the divine.

This morning, enjoy an exclusive yoga session at a local yoga school. Afterward, we will return to the hotel for breakfast before embarking on a guided visit to Triveni Ghat, a fascinating spot where, at dawn, people offer milk to the river and feed the abundant fish.
We will then visit the 1,300-year-old Virbhadra Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, in the nearby town of Virbhadra, where the deity is worshiped in his Virbhadra avatar.

Early in the morning, we will drive to the serene Vashishth Cave for an exclusive yoga session on the banks of the Ganges.
Also known as Vashishtha Gufa, this sacred cave has been a revered pilgrimage site for centuries, where saints and sages have meditated in search of spiritual guidance. It is considered a powerful center for those seeking blessings and inner peace.
After your yoga session, we will return to the hotel for breakfast, and you are free for the rest of the day to explore the town at your own pace.

After breakfast, we will make the 5-and-a-half-hour journey to Corbett National Park, a forested Wildlife Sanctuary in Northern India’s Uttarakhand State. Renowned for its rich biodiversity, the park is home to Bengal tigers, leopards, wild elephants, and a variety of other wildlife. In the evening, take in the scenic beauty of this remarkable and exotic destination.

Today, we will embark on both morning and afternoon jungle safaris through Corbett National Park. Home to over 500 species of animals, reptiles, and birds, the park is amongst the best Wildlife sanctuaries in India. By exploring the park at different times of day, we hope to catch glimpses of a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants and the elusive Bengal tiger.

In the morning, we will head out on a final Jungle safari before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward, we will drive approximately two hours to Essence of Nature. Located midway between Corbett National Park and Ranikhet, the resort is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Himalayas and offers stunning views and a peaceful environment, perfect for relaxation and meditation.
In the evening, Andrew will begin our meditation retreat, guiding participants through meaningful practices and meditations. While meditation will be a central part of our journey, the retreat is thoughtfully balanced with enriching half-day visits to nearby cultural sites and the surrounding countryside. These excursions will give us the opportunity to explore the local heritage, connect with the community, and experience the peaceful natural environment, making our time here both reflective and rejuvenating.

After breakfast, embark on a visit to Anandpuri Ashram in Chilianaula, Ranikhet, approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes one way from Essence of Nature. Anandpuri Ashram is a spiritual center dedicated to the teachings of Shri Haidakhan Babaji, offering a peaceful environment for spiritual growth, meditation, and self-reflection. Here, you’ll have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a lifestyle centered on Truth, Simplicity, and Love—Shri Babaji’s timeless message for humanity.
The temple complex includes the main temple dedicated to Haidakhan Babaji, an Ashram residence complex, a communal kitchen, gardens, and an Ayurvedic hospital. Visitors are required to dress modestly and respectfully while on the grounds, particularly during prayer sessions and meditation, to honor the space's sanctity and spiritual focus.
We’ll enjoy a lovely picnic lunch amidst the serene surroundings, giving you time to relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the Ashram.
We will return to Essence of Nature for dinner, followed by time for quiet reflection, allowing you to absorb the day’s experiences in the tranquil embrace of the retreat.

Start your day with another morning meditation session guided by Andrew, designed to deepen your practice and connection with the teachings. After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a half-day tour to Binsar Mahadev, located 30 km from the Essence of Nature Resort & Spa. This ancient Hindu rock temple, nestled in dense forests, is also known as Bindeshwar Mahadev Temple or simply Binsar. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered here as Bindeshwar, the temple holds deep spiritual significance in the region.
Renowned for its intricate architecture and peaceful surroundings, Binsar Mahadev offers a tranquil and spiritual experience. The journey to the temple is as captivating as the destination itself, with stunning views of the Himalayas and lush greenery along the way. Visitors often find a deep sense of peace and connection with nature at this revered temple. We’ll take some time to enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings.
In the evening, back at the hotel, Andrew will guide a final meditation session, designed to help you consolidate all you’ve learned throughout the retreat and bring your experience to a meaningful close.

This morning we will check out of the hotel and begin our drive to Bhimtal, a journey of approximately 95 km (about 4 hours).
Along the way, we will stop to visit the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram at Kainchi Dham, not only a place of serene beauty but also of deep spiritual significance. Established in 1964, the ashram honors the legacy of Neem Karoli Baba, a revered saint known for his teachings of love, service, and devotion. The site has since become a pilgrimage destination for devotees from around the world.
Visitors to the ashram can immerse themselves in meditation, participate in prayer sessions, and experience the profound sense of peace that pervades the surroundings. The ashram is also home to a temple complex, where devotees offer prayers and seek blessings.
After visiting the ashram, we will continue our drive to Bhimtal.

Today, we make our six-hour drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel, where you can unwind and reflect on the experiences and memories made during this incredible journey.
